The manufacturing sector consists of diverse industries producing different products. All manufacturing facilities or factories have machinery & objects that are harmful to individuals if exposed for a longer period of time, hence it is important to screen all workers for occupational health hazards at regular intervals.
Some hazards are common for all industries like Hazardous substances, Dust, Machinery related accidents, trips, and falls, Physically demanding work, Heat and cold, etc.
The best way to avoid any accident to happen is to have preventive & safety processes in place & get an individual's health check done before employment. In many states, it is mandatory to have a Pre-employment health check-up done before hiring an employee in the manufacturing plant or factory premises and a yearly health check thereafter many states including Maharashtra, it is mandatory to get an employee health check-up done as per the Factories Act, 1948 and the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963. As per the factories act, health check-up needs to done by a government-approved certifying surgeon. After inspecting the manufacturing process certifying the surgeon will prescribe tests as per the factory act to be performed at factory premises.
PrognoHealth follows the process laid down by DISH – Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health government of Maharashtra. We have a certified surgeon on our panel to issue from 7 as per the factories act.
Form 7 issued by the authorized certifying surgeon is the legal documents to be submitted for compliance at the DISH office in the respective districts. Like certifying surgeon in Pune, Certifying surgeon in Mumbai, Certifying surgeon in Satara, certifying surgeon in Nashik, etc.
These are some of the indicative hazards employers need to make sure that all the health & safety processes are in place & followed by all working on-premises along with visitors.
All employers must treat employees’ health as a priority & get the health checks done at regular intervals. In the next step, they should identify the risk areas from the health data & map the programs to reduce the risk of diseases in employees with proactive measures.
Should maintain a record of all health reports to access it later to gauge the effectiveness of the program. Choose your health service provider with quality in mind over compliance.
