Chest PA View X-Ray Test (Posterior Anterior View)

A Chest PA View X-Ray is a standard diagnostic imaging test used to detect structural abnormalities inside the chest, such as those involving the lungs, heart, ribs, and blood vessels.

In the Posterior–Anterior view, the X-ray beam passes from the back of the chest to the front, producing a clear and accurate image of lung fields and cardiac size. This view minimizes heart magnification and gives a realistic chest anatomy image.

Patient Preparation Instructions:

1. No special dietary preparation is required.

2. Women must inform the technician if pregnancy is suspected.

3. All metal objects such as jewelry, eyeglasses, hairpins, or dentures must be removed.

4. Carry all previous X-ray reports and surgical records.

5. Inform the technician if you have a pacemaker or any implant in the chest.
