A test for sodium in the urine is a 24-hour test or a one-time (spot) test that checks how much sodium is in the urine. Sodium is both an electrolyte and a mineral. It is used to evaluate the status of the amount of fluid within the blood vessels, and the electrolyte balance in the body. This test may be used when conditions such as hyponatremia (low sodium levels in the body) are suspected. This test may be used when conditions such as hyponatremia (low sodium levels in the body) are suspected It can also evaluate your kidney function.

This test measures the amount of protein in urine. This test is used to The 24-hour urine protein test checks the function of the kidneys and evaluate impaired kidney function, such as suspected nephrotic syndrome, glomerulonephritis, or proteinuria. When higher-than-normal amounts of protein are in the urine, it is called proteinuria. Proteinuria is often a sign of kidney damage and disease.

This test measures the amount of VMA that is excreted into the urine, typically over a 24-hour period, to detect excess catecholamine production. Vanillylmandelic acid (VMA) is one of the metabolites of the catecholamines epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine. The vanillylmandelic acid (VMA) test is primarily used to detect and rule out neuroblastomas in children.

Urine Culture Test

Urine Test
Reports in 4-6 days
A urine culture is a test to find and identify germs (usually bacteria) that may be causing a urinary tract infection (UTI). Urine in the bladder normally is sterile—it does not contain any bacteria or other organisms (such as fungi). But bacteria can enter the urethra and cause an infection. A urine sample is kept under conditions that allow bacteria and other organisms to grow. If few or no organisms grow, the test is negative. If organisms grow in numbers large enough to indicate an infection, the culture is positive. The type of organisms causing the infection are identified with a microscope or by chemical tests. If the urine culture is positive, other tests may be done to help choose which antibiotic will do the best job treating the infection. This is called sensitivity testing. This test needs to be done conducted some types of bacteria or fungus are resistant to certain antibiotics and infections caused by these resistant micro-organisms are not cured by treatment with those antibiotics.

The Bence-Jones protein urine test is used mainly to diagnose and monitor multiple myeloma, a blood cancer. Bence Jones proteins are small proteins (light chains of immunoblobulin) found in the urine. Bence Jones proteins are considered the first tumor marker. A tumor marker is a substance, made by the body, that is linked to a certain cancer, or malignancy. Bence Jones proteins are made by plasma cells, a type of white blood cell. The presence of these proteins in a person's urine is associated with a malignancy of plasma cells. An abnormal Bence-Jones test result is also linked with malignant lymphomas, which are cancers of the lymphatic system. Multiple myeloma, a tumor of plasma cells, is the disease most often linked with Bence Jones proteins. The amount of Bence Jones proteins in the urine indicates how much tumor is present. Physicians use Bence Jones proteins testing to diagnose the disease as well as to check how well the disease is responding to treatment. Other diseases involving cancerous or excessive growth of plasma cells or cells similar to plasma cells can cause Bence Jones proteins in the urine. These diseases include: Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, some lymphomas and leukemias, osteogenic sarcoma, cryoglobulinemia, malignant B-cell disease, amyloidosis, light chain disease, and cancer that has spread to bone.

A microalbumin test checks urine for the presence of a protein called albumin. A microalbumin test is used to detect early signs of kidney damage. Normally, the kidneys work to filter waste products, water, and other chemicals from the blood and send them to the bladder where they are excreted in the form of urine. In the earliest stage of diabetic nephropathy, abnormally large amounts of blood flow through the nephrons, the tiny filters within the kidneys. This condition is known as hyper filtration. Due to hyper filtration there is leakage of proteins in the urine from the kidney cells. One such protein is albumin.Proteinuria is the presence of protein in the urine. Most proteins are too large to pass through the glomeruli into the urine. But when the glomeruli are damaged, proteins of various sizes pass through them and are excreted in the urine. This will create a condition called microalbuminuria. It can also occur in patients with long-standing diabetes, especially Type 1 diabetes. To compensate for variations in urine concentration it is more typical to compare the amount of albumin in the sample against its concentration of creatinine. This is termed the albumin/creatinine ratio (ACR) and microalbuminuria may be defined with both substances measured by mass.

Urine Routine Test

Urine Test
Reports in Same day
A Urine Routine measures several different components of urine, a waste product made by the kidneys. It involves the physical, chemical and microscopic examination of urine. It is the basic test to determine functioning & abnormalities in kidney. It also helps to diagnose diseases that produce abnormal breakdown products that may be passed from the body in the urine. It is used to detect urinary tract infections (UTIs) and other disorders of the urinary tract. In those with acute or chronic conditions, such as kidney disease, the urine routine may be ordered at intervals as a rapid method to help monitor organ function, status, and response to treatment.

Stool Routine Test

Blood Test
Reports in 1 Day
A stool analysis is a series of tests done on a stool (feces) sample to help diagnose certain conditions affecting the digestive tract. These conditions can include infection (such as from parasites, viruses, or bacteria), poor nutrient absorption, or cancer. Laboratory analysis includes microscopic examination, chemical tests, and microbiologic tests. The stool will be checked for color, consistency, amount, shape, odor, and the presence of mucus. The stool may be examined for hidden (occult) blood, fat, meat fibers, bile, white blood cells camera.gif, and sugars called reducing substances. The pH of the stool also may be measured.

A cabbage allergy is an adverse reaction by the body's immune system to cabbage or food containing cabbage. This type of allergy is rare and serious reactions are very rare. The body's immune system produces immunoglobulin E (IgE - an antibody) and histamine in response to contact with the allergen. The specific symptoms that can result can vary considerably amongst patients e.g. skin, respiratory and behavioral symptoms.

This is the test used to detect allergy to cockroach. Cockroach allergy can be a major factor in serious asthma and nasal allergy. The major cockroach allergens are found in their digestive enzymes, saliva, and body parts. People with severe bronchial asthma are most likely to have cockroach allergy. Others at risk include people with chronic stuffy nose, skin rash, constant sinus infection, repeat ear infection, or asthma.
