Some hazards are common for all industries like Hazardous substances, Dust, Machinery related accidents, trips and falls, Physically demanding work, Heat and cold etc.

The best way to avoid any accident to happen is to have preventive & safety processes in place & get individuals health check done before employment. In many states it is mandatory to have Pre-employment health check done before hiring an employee in manufacturing plant or factory premises and yearly health check thereafter.

In many states including Maharashtra it is mandatory to get employee health check-up done as per The Factories Act, 1948 and the Maharashtra Factories Rules, 1963. As per the factories act health check-up needs to done by a government approved certifying surgeon. After inspecting the manufacturing process certifying surgeon will prescribe tests as per factories act to be performed at factory premises.
